Leah Ciner, LCSW, PMH-C

Motherhood can bring change in ways you might not have expected. It can shift how you see yourself, your relationships, and even the world around you. For many women, the hardest part is the quiet pressures - wondering if you’re doing enough, feeling like you have to be perfect, or carrying the weight of trying to be the mother you want to be.

If you’re facing infertility, you may feel isolated in this journey. Treatments can be draining on a physical and emotional level. You might feel isolated from others who move forward, leaving you behind. You might feel disconnected from your partner, and struggle to maintain your relationship. The pain of the struggle is real, and the process can feel overwhelming at times. Having someone knowledgeable to speak to can help manage these feelings.

No matter where you are on this path, you deserve support that feels real and compassionate.

My approach is to focus on each person's strengths and needs. Everyone has their own unique journey and I want to learn what your path means to you. Your story is the most important one to focus on during our time together. You are the expert on your life, and I am here to support you through the challenges. At the same time, I want you to walk out with concrete skills that can make your life better today. Utilizing IFS, DBT, and a host of other approaches, you can start enjoying life again right now. Each session should leave you feeling more hopeful about the future and more equipped to face your unique circumstances.

You don’t have to be in crisis to ask for help. Sometimes, the strongest thing you can do is say, “I could use some help to feel better.” Together, we can find clarity and relief, helping you move forward with greater confidence and peace, wherever you are in your journey towards or through motherhood.
