Jenna Lorenz, LSW

Perinatal & Reproductive Counseling

Hey there. I’m Jenna, and I am glad you’re here.

You have been holding it together on the outside, but internally, things might feel heavy, overwhelming, or unfamiliar. Maybe your mind never shuts off. Maybe your world feels like it has been turned completely upside down.

For new and expecting parents, the emotional weight can feel relentless. You may be lying awake worrying constantly about your baby or mourning the loss of who you were before becoming a parent. Many parents describe feeling like they are failing, even while doing everything they can to hold it all together. The pressure to appear happy, bonded, or appreciative can make it even harder to talk honestly about depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, rage, or loneliness.

If you’ve found yourself on the unexpected journey of navigating pregnancy loss or infertility, you may feel angry, sad, or disconnected from loved ones. You might be carrying grief that others cannot fully see or understand. Perhaps every pregnancy announcement feels painful, every doctor’s appointment feels loaded, or you’re struggling to recognize yourself in the midst of hormonal, emotional, and relational changes. What was supposed to feel exciting or natural may now feel clinical, isolating, and emotionally draining.

You don’t have to continue carrying it all alone. In our work together, we’ll partner to create a non-judgmental and compassionate space where you can exhale, feel fully seen, and begin making sense of what you’re carrying and experiencing.

Therapy with me is both empathetic and practical, and a place for insight, honesty, emotional processing, and real tools you can use outside of session. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel steadier, more connected to yourself, and better equipped to move through life in a way that feels sustainable and true to you.

I believe healing is not about becoming someone new, but reconnecting with who you already are underneath the stress, trauma, expectations, and survival strategies life has placed upon you. Our work may incorporate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), always tailored to your individual needs, pace, and goals.

I’m a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a background in interpersonal violence and trauma. I work with individuals navigating infertility, pregnancy and postpartum challenges, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, grounded, and direct in a way that clients often find both comforting and empowering. I won’t push you faster than you’re ready for, but I also won’t leave you circling the same painful patterns. Beyond my clinical work, my background in writing, the arts, psychology, and even a past chapter on Wall Street has shaped the way I see people — as whole, complex humans rather than a collection of symptoms. I’m also a mother myself, and understand both personally and professionally how transformative, beautiful, and emotionally challenging parenthood (and getting there) can be.

My hope is that you leave our sessions feeling seen, centered, and more connected to yourself.

I offer virtual therapy sessions and would be happy to connect if you’d like to learn more or schedule an appointment. Click below to contact me or schedule a session.
